AI is Used to Improve Illustrations by Illustrators Without Permission
AI illustrations are here and will stay, despite backlash from stores and companies that have already taken action against AI illustrations.
But sometimes it happens that annoying things happen, like the following case. A certain profile started taking various illustrations from random illustrators, and using AI it made a version of those people’s illustrations.
Check it out:
As you may have seen in the examples above, a common illustrator would draw something, and post it on his profile, then come up with the profile of this person in question and make an AI version of someone else’s art.
He did this with several profiles:
Well, what happened? The crowd thought it was bad and started complaining to him, what happened is that he apologized and said he won’t do that anymore, he also deleted the publications:
VTuber (@Matomenanach) November 19, 2022
Some reactions about our friend’s behavior were made:
“What kind of thinking leads to this behavior?”
“I know that’s not a good thing, but honestly, the AI versions are way better”
“This is horrible”
What do you think of this case? Will we have more bullshit involving AI in the future?
