The title quickly captured fans’ attention, selling out across major retailers like Amazon and other popular stores.
Volume 1 of Ichi the Witch Sells Out in Japan as Resellers Hike Prices
With the volume 1 stock depleted, the original price of 572 yen (approximately $4 USD) has skyrocketed in the resale market. Listings on reselling platforms show prices ranging from 1,800 yen ($12 USD) to a staggering 3,799 yen ($26 USD).
This kind of price inflation is a common occurrence in Japan, especially for items deemed valuable or limited edition. However, it leaves many fans disappointed as they face steep resale prices.
Fortunately, it has been confirmed that new stock of Ichi the Witch volume 1 will be available starting next week. This should stabilize prices and allow fans to purchase the manga at its intended retail value.
Shiro Usazaki, who gained fame for her artistry in Act-Age, once again showcases her talent alongside Osamu Nishi. With such a strong start, Ichi the Witch is shaping up to be a standout title in the Japanese manga scene.
