Fans Show Off Their Life-Size Gardevoir Plush
A new Pokémon product has been released in Japan: a life-size Gardevoir plush, one of the most popular female Pokémon featured in Rule 34 fanarts and doujins.
Of course, when the life-size plush was announced, many people online already suspected what kind of “uses” it would have for buyers. It didn’t take long before numerous photos of the Gardevoir plush started sparking online arguments.

Gardevoir is one of the most commonly featured female Pokémon in R18 doujins, considered “cute” and “beautiful” by Pokémon standards. There’s even a series of Gardevoir cards that became quite popular, showcasing the passage of time.
The plush is large, as is its box. A fan shared a photo of the box size on their profile, and in another picture, they showed Gardevoir sitting on their living room sofa, already “comfortable.”
Another fan was shocked when they removed their Gardevoir plush from the box. Their only comment was: “It’s big”, and they shared the following photo showing more of the plush:
Yet another fan shared their life-size Gardevoir plush alongside their life-size Mimikyu plush:
However… not everyone used their Gardevoir plush in a controlled manner.

But naturally, we’ve reached the “fans” of Gardevoir who intended to use the life-size plush for other purposes. One user posted a photo showing Gardevoir’s backside, comparing it to their hand, and remarked that “she has a big butt.”
This post garnered more than 2 million views on Twitter. The reactions were mixed, with many joking about Gardevoir being attractive and others, more critical, urging the user to stop and “get help.”
Another profile, however, has been stirring up even more discussion. Shinachiku has shared several photos of their Gardevoir, going further by dressing it as a maid and placing it in various poses.
It does look “cute” in the maid outfit, doesn’t it? But, as you might expect, Shinachiku also shared another photo of their Gardevoir dressed as a maid and lying face down.
Before dressing it as a maid, Shinachiku went viral with the following post, where they showcased Gardevoir’s backside. Their tweet amassed over 5 million views, and you can imagine the flood of unfriendly opinions it received:
You can imagine what the reactions were like given the nature of the above photo—see for yourself here. After receiving so much negative feedback for the post, Shinachiku responded with the following tweet aimed at their critics:
“Gardevoir’s big butt went viral. How do you feel about that, Gardevoir?”
In the end, now that they’ve purchased it, they’ll do whatever they want with their Gardevoir plush. The life-size Gardevoir plush will also be released outside of Japan, with pre-orders already open. Amazon has some Gardevoir related items available.
