Social media has resurfaced a 2023 interview with Yoko Taro, Takahisa Taura, and Yousuke Saito for Famitsu magazine, which revealed that Yoko Taro wanted to include an Intimate Scene Between 2B and 9S in the Nier Automata anime. However, the producer blocked the idea!

According to Yoko Taro, he believes the producer cut the scene because he thought fans wouldn’t appreciate seeing 2B and 9S in such an intimate moment. As a result, the scene was completely discarded.
