Parent Complain about this new Uma Musume CM
The commercial sparked debate after a parent took to Twitter to express discomfort with its prime-time airing. According to the parent, their daughter started singing the commercial’s song, which made them uneasy.
They criticized the sexualization of female characters in commercials, highlighting parts of the body like breasts. They expressed concern about protecting their daughters and teaching their son not to be influenced by such content.
“Girls are not objects for contemplation nor horses. The treatment of girls in manga, anime, and illustrations is often unsettling. Some authors do a good job, but still…” they stated in another post.
Currently, the person’s profile is locked, possibly due to the viral nature of their tweets among anime and gacha game fans.
The debate drew mixed reactions. Some supported the criticism of the commercial, while others disagreed, accusing the parent of using children as a pretext to express their views.
One person commented, “Look, another person using children as a shield to express their opinion.” Others pointed out that the critical behavior might be harmful to the children, especially if the parent was upset over a simple song.
