Man Murders Idol to Have Her Exclusively
On September 25, an unemployed 38-year-old man committed the murder of an 18-year-old woman in a hotel in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. The intriguing aspect of this case is that the man was a fan, and the 18-year-old girl was an Idol.
Man Murders Idol to Have Her Exclusively
The name of the Idol is not known; we only know that she was an 18-year-old girl working as an underground idol, a term used for less popular idols who often perform in smaller venues for smaller audiences.
At the time of the incident, her name was initially disclosed, with the belief that she worked in a maid café. However, now no site reveals her name, possibly due to the discovery that she was an idol, leading to requests for confidentiality.
But why did the man, a self-proclaimed fan of this idol, kill her? As mentioned earlier, he was 38 years old and unemployed, although he still had some money saved.
During the trial, the prosecution stated that the man was a fan of the 18-year-old idol and often bought and gifted her items, believing he had a “romantic relationship” with her.
However, everything changed when he started running out of money. In his mind, he began to believe that without money, this relationship could not continue, leading him to the thought of “I want to kill her so she can be exclusively mine.”
The defense argued that the man became frustrated when he did not receive the desired affection from her. The man admitted to the crime.
Japanese Reactions:
“Why would a 38-year-old man believe that an 18-year-old girl would fall in love with him?”
“Was he financially supporting her? Dealing with affection can lead to situations like this.”
“Of course, this kind of person appears, right.”
