Marina Asakawa worked as a gravure idol, a type of model known for posing in revealing outfits, such as bikinis. She was also a member of the idol group Kyuuuns (♡’s), which she will now leave behind.
According to Marina, she faced several betrayals during her four years in the industry. She mentioned that the adults she met in the entertainment world failed to convince her it was a “wonderful” environment.
Marina called the entertainment industry “cruel” for people like her but said she cannot share further details due to fear of lawsuits.
Although she regrets some aspects of her decision, Marina believes she has accomplished enough as an idol. Despite wanting to continue in Kyuuuns, she feels this is the right time to retire.
With over 100,000 followers on Twitter, her farewell post gained 400,000 views, leaving many curious about the experiences Marina had during her career as a gravure idol.
