After 12 years, Satoshi Hino and Kugimiya Rie are together as protagonists
Currently airing is the anime Lv2 kara Cheat datta Motoyuusha Kouho no Mattari Isekai Life, which is not attracting much attention for being considered “generic”.
Lv2 kara Cheat datta Motoyuusha Kouho no Mattari Isekai Life tells the story of a boy who is summoned to another world and lives there as a merchant, later discovering powerful abilities.
However, it’s not the story that brings us here, but rather the two voice actors who voice the main characters.
After 12 years, Satoshi Hino and Kugimiya Rie are together as protagonists in an anime.
The protagonist Flio is voiced by Satoshi Hino, while the heroine Fenrys is voiced by Kugimiya Rie. It may seem common to have these two voicing the main couple, but for many old fans, seeing this duo again is wonderful.
Satoshi Hino and Kugimiya Rie worked together in two super popular animes that are about to turn 20 years old. In 2005, Hino voiced Yuuji, while Rie voiced Shana.
Yuuji and Shana are the main couple of the anime Shakugan no Shana, which will be 20 years old next year. The following year, in 2006, Hino voiced Saito, while Rie was Louise in the anime Zero no Tsukaima.
Both animes had several seasons and are very beloved by the public. So, finally seeing the two together again was wonderful for the fans.
A fan took a scene from the game Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and said: “Ok, please listen to me calmly, this season, Satoshi Hino and Kugimiya Rie are voicing the protagonists of the anime Lv2 Cheat, this is the first time in 12 years since Shakugan no Shana and Zero no Tsukaima, also, Shana turns 20 next year and Zero no Tsukaima will turn 20 the following year.”
Unfortunately, I haven’t played Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, so I don’t know the context of the scene above. If anyone knows, please comment below.
