MyAnimeList Hacked? Website is offline

MyAnimeList Hacked? On the morning of May 10th (today), otakus when entering the MyAnimeList website are seeing a 403 error message, and cannot access the website.

Apparently, MyAnimeList was hacked earlier, as videos and prints of the modified site circulate, changing the name of all anime on the platform.

Update: The site now features a “Maintenance” message.

MyAnimeList Hacked? What happened?

At the time this post is going live, MyAnimeList is still down, but earlier otakus reported that the anime names were all changed to “LETS ALL LOVE LAIN”, translating as: “Let’s all love Lain”:

Another print below shows that all animes have had their names changed:

But what does “Let’s all love lain” mean? Lain is the name of an anime, and when visiting the anime’s page before MyAnimeList went down, otaku saw that its notes were modified:

At the moment, some users when entering the site see the message “Your IP has been blocked, do this…” for now, do absolutely nothing, just wait for the official announcement from MyAnimeList and for the site to return to normal.
