First we have Chinese Xie Tianrong, the man who married Asuka from the Neon Genesis Evangelion series. He claims that he dated a real person in the past, but the relationship didn’t work out very well. His doll is 1.58cm tall and weighs only 30kg, she was made to look exactly like the character Asuka from Evangelion:
”In 2019, I found a silicone doll on the internet that was on sale for 10,000 yuan, so I ordered it.”
Xie also revealed that every night his doll sits on a chair next to his bed while he sleeps and bathes it with a damp cloth before applying baby powder.
He says he respects her and wants her only as a companion: ”I’ve had human girlfriends before, but now I’m only attracted to dolls. I never had sex with her”
Xie even stated that real girlfriends always asked him for something, but not Asuka, so ”she’s easier to date”.
”When my previous girlfriend and I were together, she was always looking at her phone, but with her it’s different. She only focuses on me”.
Marrying with a Asuka Cosplayer
It seems that people really love Asuka, because in 2022 we had a case in Ecuador of a woman who got married wearing a cosplay of the character.
This wedding took place on July 28, 2022, the photos of the two viralized on social networks at the time when the people congratulated and thought it was funny that she got married in this cosplay.
