Konosuba Doesn’t Want Trouble With Nintendo! Duck’s design has been changed!
The Megumin-focused Konosuba spin-off is being adapted into an anime this spring. In Episode 4, the Konosuba team needed to make some changes to the design of the duck that appears in the episode in question, otherwise Nintendo would go down killing them!

You see, the monster in question is called ”Kamonegi” or ”Onion Duck”, a duck very similar to the Pokémon Farfetch’d that is holding an onion.
As you can see on the left side of Megumin, in Konosuba’s manga, the monster was obviously inspired by this Pokémon, but in the anime things had to be a little different, as it has a more realistic appearance:
And fans noticed the change with comments like ”Isn’t this different from what came out in the manga adaptation?”, ”The duck on this occasion looks simpler” and ”Wow, they changed the design of the Pokemon to more realistic”.
Well, we can safely say that if the Konosuba team had kept the same duck design from the manga, they would have been in serious trouble with Nintendo.
