Apparently Hideo Kojima watched Lycoris Recoil and really liked the anime, as he ended up watching 3 episodes on Amazon Prime.

“I’m not used to Amazon prime,” he said, “So I had a hard time looking for CODA.” CODA premiered on Amazon Prime Japan on July 21st, and Kojima was interested in watching it and during his research, he happened to see Lycoris Recoil and decided to give it a go.

Hideo Kojima continues:

[su_quote]Did I end up bumping into an anime that sounded like ‘Lycoris Pizza’? called Lycoris Recoil during my search. A murderous girl with a license to murder ends up working in a cafe.

It’s a pretty crazy setting and intro. I figured it out, is it an anime from Japan? And I ended up watching until episode 3. Where is episode 4?

The anime is airing on Amazon Prime Video, about two days after it aired in Japan, which means the fourth episode will be available on July 26th[/su_quote]

He really wants to see episode 4 of the anime, imagine when he finds out that it’s an episode that focuses a lot on the panties that the female characters wear?

Asaura, who wrote the story of Lycoris Recoil, shared Kojima’s tweet and said, “This situation doesn’t make sense to me”, showing his surprise that Kojima has watched the anime he is involved in.

Lycoris Recoil Sells Well on Amazon

Lycoris Recoil’s anime Blu-rays are selling very well on Japanese Amazon, and the anime looks like it’s doing great.

The story is more or less like Hideo Kojima said, there is an organization that trains little girls to kill criminals. I’m watching and I find it very strange to see a bunch of little girls killing supposedly well-trained adult men.

Kojima is known for being responsible for the Metal Gear series games and most recently he released Death Stranding, currently he works on a new project for Xbox.
