Doujin made by AI generates Absurd Profit

It is possible to profit a lot from AI now, previously NovelAI was released and this created a new wave of various people being able to create illustrations of what they want without having to pay an illustrator.

Some sites like Fanza, DLsite and others that sell doujins online have taken some action towards works made with AI, some sites for example require that the work be disclosed as having the “hand” of AI in it.

And we come to the case of an AI-made doujin called OK tanbum! Yobeba Kuru Onna-tachi made by the group Junjou x High x Shine, it was released at the beginning of the AI wave in October on the DMM service.

But what impresses is the number of doujin sales! which to date has sold 6,539 copies on DMM alone. the normal price of the AI-made doujin is 440 yen ($17), considering it sold the above number of copies, it fetched a well-rounded $2,877,160!

Obviously it doesn’t work like that, there are promotions, there’s a fee per sale on the site, but the person who made the doujin did get some good money.

These were some of the Japanese reactions to seeing this:

“I can see the tears of artists”

“Humans are already unnecessary”

“I wanted to see the face of those who buy this”

“It sold a lot, but the rating is low, I don’t understand”

“I’m making one too, if it sells well it’s confirmed that illustrators are no longer needed”

“I hope they die for the tax”

It’s not just this AI-made doujin that has been selling a lot, many others also turn out to have very good results.
