Swimmer completes Backstroke with Itsuki Figure on her Forehead

Former Olympic swimmer Aya Terakawa recently surprised author Negi Haruba and all The Quintessential Quintuplets fans by appearing on TV swimming backwards with an Itsuki figure on her forehead!

The swimmer appeared on the Honoo-no Taikukai program, in this program the audience creates challenges for the participants and behold, Aya had to do the backstroke while balancing the figure of Itsuki on her forehead.

In addition to this otakice, I don’t know if you noticed, but the cap she wears is a Pokémon cap, there’s a yellow Pikachu in the corner! This historical Japanese TV otaku fact generated several comments from the Japanese, such as:

“What an epic moment”

“Back Swim with Itsuki on the Forehead”

“Theme song was also played”

“?????”

“What situation was that?”

“It’s amazing that she didn’t drop the figure in those 25 meters”

“That’s why I love this show and its challenges”

“I need this figure and to meet this Olympic swimmer”

“I thought I would fall when I reached 10 meters, I was wrong”

“Very nice that you have completed the objective”

“What a concentration so that the figure wouldn’t fall”

Even Negi, author of The Quintessential Quintuplets was surprised to see this situation on TV:

“They called me and when I turned on the TV, an Olympic athlete was swimming backwards with Itsuki on her forehead (why?)”

It’s life Negi, it’s life, but it’s impressive that she completed the swim without letting Itsuki fall! And that’s considering from what I’ve seen, she’s retired! She retired in 2013 but still has a lot of skill!

Thanks Tanaka-sama!
