Kininarimasu? Author reveals how a Second Season of Hyouka can Happen

Fans have been yearning for a second season of Hyouka since the anime ended in 2012. The 22-episode anime was animated by Kyoto Animation, with animation that is still incredibly beautiful today.

Although the anime has a high rating on MyAnimeList, currently evaluated at 8.08, the question that remains is: how can we have a second season of Hyouka? Fortunately, the original author of the anime has already answered this question.

But what happened after all? Recently, a very dedicated fan of the series kept sending messages to the author, Yonezawa Honobu, asking for a second season of the anime.

Receiving so many messages from this fan, the author finally responded on how a second season could be made! In one of his posts, he explained:

“Thank you for loving animation “hyouka”. Im very glad to you. However, I don’t have the rights of decision about to make 2nd season. Please contact the publisher or the animation studio.”

Interesting, so would it be possible to send messages to the publisher or animation studio responsible for producing the anime? In this case, Kadokawa is the publisher and Kyoto Animation is the studio, and the main companies involved in the production of the first season. However, after so many years, would a massive fan campaign be enough to persuade these companies to change their minds and produce the second season of Hyouka?

In addition to the second season, fans are also requesting volume 7 of the work, which was promised by the author in 2018 and has yet to be released. Will Hyouka ever return?
